As a person, resident and business owner living in the Kitchener-Waterloo community, I wish to acknowledge that I am located on the traditional home of the Attawandaron, Anishnawbe, and Haudenosaunee peoples. My home and community are situated on the Haldimand Tract, six miles on either side of the Grand River, on territory that was promised to the peoples of the Six Nations. I am grateful for all the contributions of the Indigenous people that have shaped this community and for their continued care and connectedness to this land.
